Long day...

Today was a long day - and a lot got done. Time is getting short, the carpenters are staying only until friday, and the roof has to be assembled.

First all columns got fixed to the foundations and rectified. The ring beam is remarkably precise. Foam glass REFAGLASS was filled around the columns and the boxes removed.

A crane helped us lift the wooden elements into place. The wooden elements form FORDOM fit very nicely today, so a lot got done in one afternoon:

Under the outer walls we needed to dig out the earth and replace the gap with foam glass. Foam glass does not have any capillary moisure, so the wood should stay dry:

Our master carpenters Jaro and Ivan. Definitely the heroes of the day:

A crane is a very convenient tool - lifting the elements in place:

Tomorrow will be even more exciting - we will attempt to put up a roof construction and cover the construction with a specially made tarp...
