"Woodhenge"

Today the ring beam was dismantled and readjusted, now everything fits perfectly, the diameter is within 1cm. Further wooden elements arrived today with a lorry, but we missed the opportunity to take pictures from the unloading with a crane. But here is the result in the evening, Ringbeam in place (but needs to be fixed tomorrow) and the elements spread around the building site...

During the day we concentrated on the Ringbeam dimensions and making it usable for ventilation purposes. Fresh air is going to be spread to 6 working "vault-places" on the circumference through small holes. A ventilation unit with heat recovery will provide somewhere between 20-30m3/h of fresh air for each person and the stale air will be extracted from the kitchen and entrance (where we leave the smelly shoes... only socks or house shoes on the clay floor!) The ventilation channel was taped to become air tight with special tapes from ISOCELL - we are using their tapes on all our passive houses with great results.

Sunset. Tomorrow we will try to place the elements on the right spot and right height... :-) a crane should assist us in the afternoon. Time s running short...
